![]() The students would've immediately found out that Kokichi was killed in the virtual world and not with poison because his eyes weren't bloodshot. If Miu got away with killing him there, her job would be even easier, she can lie as much as she wants about the VW's settings to throw off the search and even erase some of her tracks under the guise of "Checking the computer."Įven with that, she still would've been found out easily. Kokichi is complicated and all the story needed was to acknowledge it better. Just because a person does bad things, it doesn't mean they started that way. Again, Kokichi's mental issues aren't as straightforwardly tragic or dolled up or as morbid as Maki's but they're still valid and he still needs help like her. Kaede killed (Not really but they thought that for a long time) someone and they say how great she was. Like I said, Ryoma killed people and no one gets on his face for it. Maki is a complicated character for me, because I like her for what she is, I like her moments with Kaito and I like her arc of slowly becoming more human and less distant from everyone but the moments of them dehumanizing him to prop up her are annoying and frankly. They wouldn't have even found Angie's body without Kokichi in 3-3. They wouldn't have found out about the other empty rooms being trapped in 3-3 without Kokichi. That spits on the face of both of the sacrifices of Kokichi and Kaito and all of Maki's characterization just so we can have another Maki-Roll UwU soft girl party. ![]() She's fine with everyone else dying as long as Kokichi is one of them?! I don't like that. Her boyfriend is in danger and she was pushed pretty hard herself. It's funny that you mentioned Maki because one thing that bothered me the most about 3-5 was Maki's performance, her being tricked into killing Kokichi makes sense, I accept that. I still can't see how he was able to manipulate Gonta so easily though.Īngie's FTE's are pretty weak IMO but you might get something out of it that I didn't. Now I know that the situation screwed him over. I was also confused as to why he got Gonta and Miu killed when he really cared about everyone. was still alive, but now it makes sense that he probably thought that they were actually dead when he saw the "outside world". Thank you so much for this! You did a great job! At first, I didn't understand why he did all of that if D.I.C.E. ![]() I can respect and understand people finding him annoying, an asshole at times, and just not liking his personality in general, but going as to say that he actually generally enjoyed the killing game, is going too far. Both sides could've prevented him from his death, but because I'm sure Kokichi hasn't had that great of a life and the killing game destroyed him both mentally and emotionally, I can understand why he did what he did. I've never felt that he was as evil as the game, haters, and some of the fandom perceive him to be. It pisses me off how mostly everyone takes him at just face value. Which is what I love about his character. It does show that he is human though and that we all have our flaws. There could've been other, better ways that things could've gone, and he still could've lived to fight until the end. For someone as smart as Kokichi, he surely made a lot of poor decisions, without thinking some things through himself. However I have yet to see her FTE's, Love Suite, Salmon Mode ending, and UTDP, so idk.)Īlso. I've seen fanart saying that she was hurting inside and faking her positive energy for herself and others. Like wtf? (Maybe they did the same with Angie too though. That's one of the reasons why this cast angered me a lot, because they helped Maki with her trust issues and friendship, Shuichi with his confidence and revealing the truth, Himiko with her depression, tried to sympathize with Ryoma due to not feeling loved or care for, but actually believed Kokichi was who he really was. It's one of the most amazing things a story can do and part of that investment is making your audience ask questions after its all over. ![]() They didn't need to go ham on his backstory or go ham on explaining his actions after the fact, they just left the necessary pieces and I just logically came up with them as I went along. I think Kokichi represents a problem, not with stories but the audiences just expecting every single thing in a story to be explained to them like in Hunter X Hunter when the best stories in my opinion are the ones where the authors give you the pieces and you're just free to interpret everything. I've seen some of the things they say over ships and headcanons. Aeris Akamatsu just has a very nasty attitude not just towards Kokichi but in general. I always believed it was either it came to him after the fact or he realized it and Gonta knowing full well that sacrificing himself for everyone else is necessary, withheld the idea on his behalf.Īlso.
